Client Business Need:  The client embarked on a mission to implement Oracle’s Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) Essbase Plus reporting solution.  This specific initiative was an effort to facilitate ad-hoc data analysis and mining activities with a focus on Oracle Federal Financials (GL). The objective was to Implement Oracle Hyperion Essbase reporting solution that supported industry best practices; where possible, standardize business processes and adopt best practices, and improve reporting and analysis across both actuals and budget data sourced from the Oracle Federal Financials General Ledger.

The Solution: The solution that was implemented was Oracle Hyperion Essbase with Hyperion financial reporting using Essbase studio with drill back capabilities. 
Benefits: This helped the client meet their trial balance reporting needs by reducing reporting cycle time by building processes to source and load into a centralized reporting cube for GL data. It also facilitated and improved their ad-hoc reporting that lead to quick fact finding while promoting accountability and analytical efficiency.
